Create lists in trees using voice/text for input & text / text to speech output. Voice Tree List is offered by Troutmoon, Inc.. Last Updated: April 11, 2015. Current Version: 1.2
Enter name & text content for each using voice (or keyboard).
Review lists & trees individually, or as a combined report of of any chosen node and down the tree including all its children.
You can hear with Text To Speech any node either in the editor, or by creating a report of a node or a tree of nodes and hearing the report in the review/export screen.
This report can be exported as text for use in other apps or transfer to your PC.
Not a fluffy trend chaser app. A power-tool written for personal use, but people who saw it used wanted to try it. Most who tried it wanted to have it.
So please try it, get to know the power behind the simple face, then give us some constructive feedback por favor.
Thanks in advance!
1.1 Update: ( This update preserves your existing data! )
a) Added “Rescue lost records” to the menu. If you loose power, shutdown, or even sometimes just cancel a massive copy or delete you could leave some nodes down the tree lost without their parents. Rescue scans the database fixing damage, and moving lost records it may find to a top level “zee lost & found” folder.
b) Progress bars for potentially long running functions ( copy / delete down a tree, also the Rescue function). These can be CANCELLED by touching the back button or anywhere outside of the progress dialog itself. (So if you want to prevent screen dimming or lock, be sure to touch only on the dialog. If you mess up don’t worry just run Rescue to be sure, then re-run the function you accidentally cancelled).
c) Search function. If you forgot where you put something you can find it here, then just touch the item you found in the search results list to go to that items location in the voice tree list.
d) The “browse all” button on the search dialog provides an occasionally useful ability to browse through a “flat” representation of every node in your database.
e) Added a quick-note (microphone), icon in the action bar. Touch to make the quickest possible voice note. These notes are automatically created and named “Quicknote n” and put in the top level. The editor opens to this note with the text area selected and the keyboard popped up. Just enter text or touch the microphone button on the keyboard and start speaking! Do please remember to save the note and its text when done!
f) Sorted the move-under list so it is easier to find what you are looking for.
g) “Are you sure?” dialog before deleting.
h) Added a little subtext letter “t” just to the right of the edit (pen or pencil icon), icon. We had a little down chevron to the right if the node had children but nothing to hint that the node had text of its own as well. This solves that with a gentle visual cue.
i) Bug fix: Fixed a leak in delete down the tree that caused lost records.
j) Small cosmetic improvements to layout and color theme to make it easier on the eye.
Thank you for using our app and enjoy.
Next version: 1.2, will have at least 2 powerful new
features and also include the first in-app. purchase capability.
